This is the final version of a web-comic I submitted to Zuda.com. This is just the first page - the entire 8-page submission can be read at www.jnfcomics.blogspot.com.

Concept/Character Design, Storyboards, 3D Modeling and Animation
These are some of the concept sketches and storyboards created in the development of the two animations that you should see above. (If you do not see these videos, please refresh the page and they should appear.) The robot's arm was animated first. The rest of the robot was designed and modeled for the second animation, but the scope of animation fell slightly outside of the parameters of the project. The animation remains incomplete - it has not been textured or lit according to the original vision, and the story is left unresolved.

Rob & the Cradle
Character/Environment Design, Sequential Storytelling
These are some designs and page layouts for a recent submission to Zuda Comics - an online publishing imprint of DC Comics. The characters went through some changes while looking for just the right combination of appearance and art style. As the submission is still under review, I am not able to show this comic in its entirety, with full script and color.

A Static Lullaby
Concept/Character Design, Sequential Storytelling, Detailed Environments
This batch is from two projects for the band A Static Lullaby and Fearless Records. The first set of images are concept drawings used as cover and interior artwork for their album. The second set shows some of the early development for that project, and the third are pages from a mini-comic that the band used to promote their album and tour. The band was looking for a high-concept design with noir stylings and a slight sci-fi bent.

Bobby & Darin
Character Design, Sequential Storytelling
The following images are from a comic book series submitted for proposal at the San Diego Comic-con. These are only a few of the pages, but display a good cross-section of character/environment design and sequential storytelling akin to the storyboard process involved in animation.

3-Picture Deal
Concept/Character Design, Sequential Storytelling, Detailed Environments
These images come from a potential live-action film - developed here first in comic book form. It lacks some of the illustrative maturity of Rob & the Cradle, but shows great attention to detail in regards to developing believable and complete environments in which to place its characters.
